Claire Whiteford, Multi-Property HR Director, Marriott Hotels

Sarah Furness
Trainer & Coach

After graduating from Cambridge University, Sarah followed her dream to become a combat helicopter pilot in the RAF. As a Squadron Leader she led on operational combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. During her experiences both at home and at war, she made two important discoveries;

- BUT humans have an extraordinary ability to thrive and even excel under pressure when they know how.

She now has ONE mission. To share the secret to outstanding resilience, performance and courage “under fire”.

Sarah is the No1 Best Selling author of FLY HIGHER - train your mind to feel as strong as you look. All of her mental training techniques are backed by science and proven in combat.
She is fluent in “alpha male” and whilst she takes her work seriously, she doesn’t take herself too seriously. She has a 7 year old son who she adores and who inspires her every day.

Watson
Chairman

Yellow Door is a huge part of Watson’s life. Actually huge – his yellow front door is about 9 times his height.

After cutting his teeth in a variety of roles… but mostly on chew toys…his elevation to non – exec chairman of our group was a no brainer.

He brings literally months of experience to the role and is equally comfortable at a board meeting or nowhere near a board meeting when distracted by cheese.

Watson: the Chairman that puts the ‘often-ignores-his-training’ into our training.

“To call Victoria energetic would be an understatement - her passion, energy and zeal to improve others is infectious and leaves a lasting impression with anyone in the room.”

Victoria has been leading teams for over 25 years, spending the last decade as a Head of Learning and Development. Having graduated from Warwick University with a degree in Psychology Victoria has always shown a keen interest in the individual, their motivations, and how to maximise their potential. She has written and delivered thousands of training courses from new starter to Director level. More recently, adopting a flexible working approach balanced with family life, she jumped at the opportunity of working for Yellow Door.

Emilie Thysse
Founder & Managing Partner

“Emilie has a great way with people, understanding what makes them ‘tick’ and how to get the best out of them.”

Emilie is a Henley Business school graduate and accredited executive coach. She’s a specialist in sales and management training, where she’s developed her unique 3Cs approach to building and maintaining high performing teams.

After graduating from Bristol University, she cut her teeth in the fiercely competitive property industry, quickly rising through the ranks to board director level at just 29. She managed teams of over 60 employees and oversaw millions of pounds in revenue.

It was here that she developed her coaching-led management style, which creates such an impact for managers and employees alike.

Her driving passion is to use her knowledge and experience to help others develop and achieve the results they want. She established Yellow Door Training & Development in 2015 and grew the company rapidly to where it is today, serving several blue-chip clients, training and coaching hundreds of delegates, through her own and her team’s sessions. She lives in West London with her husband, two children and dog… in a house with a yellow front door.
Nick Wealthall
Managing Partner

“Since our sessions, I presented confidently to over 1000 people. I never imagined this would be possible when we first started.  The confidence you’ve given me has built in all aspects of my life and made me immeasurably happier, so thank you”

Nick is an experienced performance coach and trainer who specializes in helping people perform consistently at their highest level, through his concept of the execution gap.

He started out in sales before working as a wealth manager in the City.  Deciding he wanted to try something different, he ran away to join the circus… or at least his equivalent…. as he left the UK to become a professional poker player in Las Vegas.

Here he became fascinated with how elite performers execute consistently especially under pressure.

On his return, he began a broadcasting career writing comedy for TV (including shows such as 8 out of 10 cats and Have I Got News For You) and presenting Poker shows for Channel 4 and others.

He returned to the commercial world starting his own online business that provided its customers with poker lessons and training, building this to be the leading business in the UK in its niche.

Becoming a partner in Yellow Door has allowed him to pursue his passion for helping others to reach their potential through full engagement with their work and consistent peak performance.

Ruth Harrington

After graduating, she started her career in business-to-business sales with EMAP, before moving into the property industry in 2003.

Ruth proved herself commercially before climbing the ranks to run a multimillion-pound department and team of 10 sales people.  She later worked in customer relationship management systems and compliance, helping teams to understand the role CRMs play in driving individual sales performance.

Ruth has delivered hundreds of sessions to teams in sales, customer service and leadership and has perfected an engaging, clear and accessible style that produces real results beyond the session.

She lives in West London with her husband and two young daughters.
